Colorworks l Design + Staging is the result of Kathryn Weldin’s broad experience which affords her clients a unique blend of design and creativity, mirrored with business, organizational and relational skills.  She is personable and intuitive and demonstrates genuine care for her clients to achieve their desired results.  She recognizes the challenges and often stressful process in preparing to list a home to sell, in designing or remodeling, or walking with families to help them navigate life-stage situations.  She is sensitive and responsive to the emotional aspects and delicate nature of relationships, understanding that the process is equally important as the final product.

Kathryn received her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Texas in Austin, with emphasis and study in architecture. For several years she was a commercial project designer, and then later she worked for an architectural firm where she was integrally involved in the interior design management and marketing aspects of the company.

With over ten years of commercial design experience, she then fulfilled her desire to be at home to raise her children. To afford her the opportunity for creative expression, she opened her business, COLORWORKS. In addition to interior design consulting services, her love for creating art led her to transform rooms through color and texture, custom graphics, wall murals, faux finishes and furniture painting. She was later offered a unique opportunity to develop and lead ministry teams for 13 years while occasionally rendering her creativity on the side.

Kathryn is a Certified Home Stager earning her Accredited Staging Professional designation through HSR (Home Staging Resources). She is a member of ASHSR (American Society of Home Stagers and ReDesigners), and also NCIDQ Certified (National Council for Interior Design Qualifications), the licensing exam for Interior Designers.
